These are not dangerous memory resident companion and stealth viruses. They hook INT 9, 10h, 13h, 1Ch, 21h and create companion .COM files on accessing to .EXE files. The viruses contain the text string:
HellSpawn v0.91a (c) 1993 by Stormbringer
and manifest themselves with the video effects when Alt-Ctrl-Del keys are pressed, and on selecting the video mode 13h (INT 10h, AX=0013h). |
