This is a benign boot virus. It hooks INT 13h, and writes itself to the boot sector on floppy disks and to the boot sector of the C: disk on the hard disk. The virus infects the hard drive while loading from an infected floppy and infects floppy disks that are accessed.
In April, the virus also hooks INT 17h, and while printing a text replaces letters "." with "!" and "" with "". |
