This is a family of Word97 macro viruses that are activated upon the opening of an infected document. Once activated these viruses disable Word's build-in anti-virus protection and then proceed to infect Word files that are subsequently created or opened.
Most of variants of this virus contain nothing except replication code, so they are not dangerous. In its code the virus contains the string:
"MYNAMEISVIRUS"
