Digger.1000
This is a harmless memory-resident parasitic encrypted virus. On execution it removes itself from the host file, then executes it, hooks INT 21h and stays memory resident. It infects the COM and EXE files on their execution and inserts itself into their bodies. EXE files are converted to COM format (see "Vacsina" viruses). On 30th infection (the virus increases and checks the internal counter) it disables the keyboard by hooking INT 09h and types the message in Russian. This message is about "it's better to play DIGGER". By the way, on execution the DIGGER program the virus resets that internal counter to zero. |
