It is not a dangerous memory resident encrypted parasitic virus. It hooks INT 21h and writes itself to the end of COM and EXE files that are executed. The virus does not infect the anti-virus programs: VIRSTOP, F-PROT, SCAN, TBAV. If host file is modified (infected by another virus), the virus tries to restore it in original infected form - that may corrupt infected files if after infection they are packed with some file compression utility (Diet, PKLite, e.t.c.).
In 1997 the virus also hooks INT 13h and while accessing to 1.4Mb floppy disks replaces their label with the string "[Yìl_1997]". |
