SearchExplorerBar is an Internet Explorer toolbar. If you browse the Web when the toolbar is enabled, certain URL's can trigger the display of pop-up ads.
SearchExplorerBar also hijacks Internet Explorer URLs such as search and homepage.
SearchExplorerBar adds various Internet Explorer buttons and a search field named Searching-4U.
SearchExplorerBar is installed by a drive by ActiveX download. SearchExplorerBar will be in pop-up ads from Adpowerzone.com. When certain keywords are searched for in the Searching-4U field, various advertisements can appear on the system. This adware can track various browsing habits. It also has a possible silent update feature.
Browsing the web with the toolbar enabled, every 3-4th page viewed has its URL and page title sent to tb.adpowerzone.com on leaving the page. If there are any targeted terms in either the server returns a piece of JavaScript code to pop up an advert.
