This is a harmless non-memory resident non-encrypted parasitic Win32 virus. It searches for PE EXE files (Windows executable files) in the current and Windows directories, then writes itself to the end of the file. Periodically it sets the system time to 10 p.m.
Between 2.00 and 3.00 a.m., the virus displays the following message:
W32.nOx by f0re [lz0]
Dont you think that it is time to go to bed ?
It also contains several text strings:
W32.nOx
f0re [lz0]
Computers know nOx, not night. |
