WebDialer is an is a premium Trojan adult dialer that connects to an expensive 1-900 and internation numbers. WebDialer changes the users dialup settings to use a premium number to look at porn sites.
WebDialer tries to automatically install itself without the user’s intervention. WebDialer’s goal is to add a new default modem connection. This new connection will call instead of the commonly used Internet-Service-Provider a new service provider using a 0900 number with usually high phone-rates. In numerous cases, WebDialer starts up at the same time as the computer starts, automatically establishing a dial-up connection. WebDialer will stay online as long as the computer is running. As WebDialer is connecting to a 0900 telephone number they will cause high telephone costs.
