Elevated Risk
Elevated threats are usually threats that fall into the range of adware in which data about a user's habits are tracked and sent back to a server for analysis without your consent or knowledge. |
| Description:
|
This is not a threat, but rather a potentially unwanted program covering a dynamic linking library (dll) file that is designed to hook typed keystrokes. Such a library may be used for legitimate purposes such as creating hot keys, shortcut keys, macro keys, etc. The same library might be used to log typed keystrokes for a spyware application, trojan, or virus.
This detection is generic to catch a variety of different key hooking dlls, which have not been clearly identified as being created for malicious purposes.
