CWS.Cassandra is a member of the CoolWebSearch family of malware. CoolWebSearch is known to hijack your home page and install bookmarks which are sometimes offensive in nature.
In addition CoolWebSearch slows your computers performance and modifies your Windows operating system to the point where it becomes generally unstable.
