Twain-Tech is an adware based Internet Explorer browser helper object that deliver targeted ads based on a user’s browsing patters. Twain-Tech does not provide any other relevant purpose other then to display pop-up ads.
Twain-Tech's information and offers are provided to users by showing ads in the form of pop-up ads and other ad formats including rich media embedded in Internet Explorers’ web pages. These offers and ads are shown when users visit various sites across the Internet, based on URLs visited by the user and local country or zip code of the user. Twain-Tech offers are delivered independently from the site the user happens to be visiting when they see a Twain-Tech offer. These offers are in no way related to the site that the user is currently visited or endorsed by the site as well.
Form the privacy policy at the bottom: "Upgrades and Installing New Application Files:
You understand, acknowledge and agree that installation of an Application permits the downloading to your computer by Twain-Tech of software which allows us to update the Application and install other Applications, and that such downloads and updates may occur without notice to you. Unless stated otherwise, any new products or services we provide or distribute, whether through our own or third party websites or servers, will also be subject to the terms of this Agreement."
The program contacts the Twain-Tech's servers without the user’s consent or knowledge in order to retrieve content from Twain-Tech and store advertising content on the user’s computer. There is also daily communication between the user’s computer and the Twain-Tech servers sent to let Twain-Tech know that the software is functioning and still installed.
Typically,data sent to the desktop is done in very small chunks of less than 4K. Upon installation, there will be some bandwidth usage as the initial advertising database is downloaded to the user’s computer. The software also takes up additional memory whenever you use Internet Explorer.

"Twain-Tech is installed on your computer as a module that comes with free software or content, when you downloaded it from the Internet. At that time, you accepted this Privacy Policy as part of the download process that you completed. It is our strict policy to distribute Twain-Tech only to users who have been given the opportunity to review and accept this privacy policy prior to the downloading of the TPS software. There are a vast number of offers and services available to Internet users that Twain-Tech may display. In addition, Twain-Tech.com negotiates exclusive offers to maximize value for users. Twain-Tech's goal is to show users information about these offers and services - right at the moment when they need it. For example, if you visit a travel site - we might show you how to save 40% on travel at a competitive travel site. If you visit a retail site, you might see an offer for a coupon at offering the same products at a lower price.
Twain-Tech's information and offers are provided to users by showing a limited number of relevant coupons and ads in the form of interstitials ("pop-up ads") and other ad formats. These offers and ads are shown when users visit various sites across the Internet, based on URLs visited by the user and local country or zip code of the user. Twain-Tech offers are delivered independently from the site the user happens to be visiting when they see a Twain-Tech offer and are not endorsed or affiliated with anyone other than Twain-Tech.com.
